The Manzoni Auditorium was born as a cinema and theater in Bologna in 1933. An Art Deco building built in the historic center just a stone's throw from Piazza Maggiore, overlooking via Indipendenza across via de 'Monari.
Its pure art nouveau style, represented by the external facades and the internal decorations and frescoes, is naturally maintained and respected in the radical restoration that took place in 2003.
