The Ars in Urbe Cultural Association for Social Promotion was born in 2011 and is registered in Acilia (Rome) on March 3, 2011, n. 1895.
It is very active in the cultural panorama of the Roman city for its educational activities of Enhancement and Promotion, initially concentrated in the major Municipal Museums (including the Museum of Roman Civilization and the Trajan's Markets-Museum of the Imperial Fora) and then extended, through visits guided in all the museums of the city, the archaeological areas and the neighborhoods.
Thanks to the School-Work Alternation Projects and the PONs, he carried out training, study and analysis activities with the students of Roman schools of all levels. In addition, it boasts the collaboration as a consultancy with the well-known television program Ulysses - The pleasure of discovery, conducted by Alberto Angela, produced by Rai - Italian Radio Television, for the creation of technical data sheets relating to construction (the production and transport of bricks , the execution of the wall and the arch using the wooden rib).
Over the years, the close relationships with other Associations operating in the area have been fundamental for the growth of the cultural offer, such as the Historical Reconstruction Associations, with which it has been possible to organize events, which have obtained excellent feedback.
Participation in multiple public tenders has made it possible to experiment with new formulas in order to broaden the usual way of understanding culture, allowing for the creation of collaborations with new professionals with different skills.
The possibility granted in being able to organize extraordinary openings, in places closed to the public, such as the Villa Rustica of Tor de 'Cenci and the Tombs of the Via Latina are proof of the trust that the institutions have in the Association.
The team, operating in organizational and executive activities, is made up of young professionals with degrees and / or specializations, who continue to enrich their training with refresher courses. The different skills allow the Association to carry out multiple activities, including: training and teaching, photography, theater, organization of private and non-private events, participation in public calls, visits and cultural walks.
The tour guides who collaborate are archaeologists and art historians in possession of the qualification to the profession.
