The Franciscan Basilica of Santa Croce is known as the "Tempio dell'Itale Glorie" as the burial place of the most important personalities of our country, such as Michelangelo, Galileo, Machiavelli and Ugo Foscolo who drew inspiration from it for his "Tombs" .
