The Kraag Gallery was born in Lucca in 1978 from the meeting of two people, Carl Kraag and Valter Fabiani who together decided to open an antiques gallery, the first after leaving teaching at the University of Amsterdam and the second after finishing their studies. university students.
In the early years the gallery specializes in oriental art which, however, is a restrictive choice in a city like Lucca so in the following years it goes more and more towards an eclecticism which, while maintaining that of oriental art as a qualifying trait, extends to all decorative arts, without limits of style or time, always favoring the originality of the proposals.
