Established with L.R. 6 October 1997, n. 29 (B.U.R. 10 November 1997, n.31 S.O. n.2), the Natural Reserve of Monte Soratte is a unique green lung between the Via Flaminia and the Tiber river, a few tens of kilometers north of Rome.
It includes the isolated relief of Monte Soratte, a modest but towering limestone massif that stands out in the gentle landscape of the Tiber valley.
Not even 700 meters high, more a hill than a mountain, from the top of which, however, the gaze embraces a vast panorama.
