Municipal Theater of Cagli

The Comunale di Cagli is one of the most fascinating historical theaters in the Marche.

The Theater, inaugurated in 1878, has a richly decorated large hall, with stalls, three tiers of boxes and a gallery, capable of accommodating up to 500 people.

The large stage is closed by an artistic curtain by Alessandro Venanzi.

After long restoration works, the Municipal Theater of Cagli was reopened to the public in 1999, with all the adjustments required by the rules on entertainment venues.

From that moment it has become a point of reference for musicians, actors and directors of the national and international artistic panorama who have performed here thanks to the now proven formula of "short artistic and creative residencies".

Artists such as Ramin Bahrami, Ludovico Einaudi, Enrico Intra, Nada, Ivano Fossati, Angelo Branduardi, Giorgio Conte, Fiorella Mannoia, Enzo Jannacci, Gianna Nannini, Roberto Vecchioni, worked and performed at the Cagli Theater, among others. Tiromancino, Cristiano De Andrè, Giorgio Gaber, Marco Paolini, Valeria Moriconi with Corrado Pani, Manuela Kustermann, Glauco Mauri, Daniele Luttazzi, David Riondino, Arnoldo Foà, Corrado Tedeschi, Remo Girone, Johnny Dorelli, Tullio Solenghi and Massimo Lopez, Claudia Cardinale , Eugenio Allegri, Lucrezia Lante della Rovere, Monica Guerritore, Licia Maglietta, Ron, Ezio Bosso, Ron, Gabriele Cirilli, Stefano Bollani and many others.

Thanks to this rich theatrical program, Cagli, a town at the foot of the Pesarese Apennines, has become a national reference point and offers the whole area a cultural offer of the highest level.
