Tanzarella Palace

"Everything in its time. Well-moderate things last a long time ".

The current Palazzo Tanzarella in via Cattedrale, in the heart of the ancient village of Ostuni, is a building from the second half of the 1500s. From a land registry document of 1816, however, it can be deduced that, in that year, it was purchased by the Tanzarella family. Today it has the nineteenth-century features enhanced by the 2014 restoration.

The historic building, seat of the Mediterranean Diet Foundation, is located in front of the Museum of Preclassical Civilizations of Southern Murgia and the most recent restorations have restored the red color typical of Pompeian painting.

Palazzo Tanzarella still has some elements of the sixteenth century both on the façade and in the interior.

The architraves on the windows still have the sixteenth-century features and the inscription: "Everything in his time. Well-moderate things last a long time ".
