An old Monferrato farmhouse, in whose foundations a museum cellar is revealed, with barrels and vats from every era, and whose name derives from the function the complex has served for centuries: in ancient times its oven was the only one in the surrounding area, so where bread was baked for the entire population of the valley.
Constructed of brick and canton stone, the tufa of Monferrato, its buildings stand squarely around the inner farmyard and form the subdivided and separate room structure for the purposes for which the spaces were used: the stables and barns, the farmers' dwellings, and the striking manor house, an 18th-century piece of architecture that preserves intact 19th-century decor and furnishings.
The farmhouse and its estate are home to a historic local winery, which produces local wines and welcomes tourists, including groups and groups, for educational tours, wine tastings and stays.
