METS - Trentino San Michele Ethnographic Museum

The Trentino Ethnographic Museum San Michele (METS) is an open-air museum that tells the history and traditions of Trentino. The museum is located in San Michele all'Adige, in the province of Trento, and is housed in a complex of 19th century rural buildings.

The METS is made up of two main sections: the open-air museum and the indoor museum. The open-air museum includes over 50 buildings, including houses, stables, barns, mills and artisan workshops. Visitors can walk among the buildings and discover how people lived and worked in Trentino in the past.

The indoor museum houses a collection of everyday objects, clothes, agricultural tools and artisanal artefacts. The collection illustrates daily life in Trentino from prehistory to the present day.

METS also organizes events and educational activities for children and adults. The museum is open from April to October.
