Viote Alpine Botanical Garden - Virtual Tour 360°


The Viote Alpine Botanical Garden is located 1500 meters above sea level, on Monte Bondone, in Trentino, Italy. It was founded in 1934 and is home to over 2,000 species of plants from across the Alps and other mountainous areas of the world.

The garden is divided into different areas, each of which hosts a different type of vegetation. The Alpine area is home to typical Alpine plants, such as edelweiss, gentians and rhododendrons. The Apennine area is home to plants typical of the Apennines, such as dwarf juniper and heather. The Mediterranean area is home to typical Mediterranean plants, such as the olive tree and the strawberry tree.

The garden is open to the public from May to October. It is an ideal place to walk and admire the beauty of the Alpine flora. The garden also houses a research center and a botanical museum.
