Grand Hotel Rimini - Virtual Tour 360°

The Grand Hotel Rimini was designed by the Uruguayan architect Paolo Somazzi and inaugurated on 1 July 1908. The structure did not undergo changes over time, until the summer of 1920, when a fire forced the forced and permanent removal of the two domes that surmounted the Grand Hotels.

However, the consequences of the Second World War forced a significant restoration to be carried out: the 1950s thus saw a total renovation of the structure, which however was not distorted in its essence. It is considered one of the most prestigious hotel structures on the Romagna Riviera.

The famous director Federico Fellini, born in Rimini in 1920, increased his fame, bringing it to a global level, after whom, after his death, the park where the hotel is located was named.

Fellini, fascinated by the Grand Hotel and its atmosphere since he was a child, strongly wanted to characterize his film Amarcord (1973) with the outline of the Grand Hotel: the structure in fact forms the backdrop to some of the most important scenes of the work. The building has 200 rooms, spacious terraces and an impressive Art Nouveau facade.

Inside, after passing through the exotic garden, you can still admire the 18th century French and Venetian furnishings, which evoke suggestive atmospheres of the past. In 1992, a modern conference center was inaugurated next to the structure to host various annual events at a national and international level.

Outside the gate is the Fellini Park (whose square is home to many events), with its large green spaces and cobbled paths, which culminate in the Fountain of the Four Horses.
