Villa Fabris known as the House of Titian is a Venetian villa in Colle Umberto, located on the Col di Manza, on the border with Castello Roganzuolo in Treviso, a place to which the history of the building is closely linked: in fact, the construction of the villa was part of the payment of the Polyptych of Castello Roganzuolo, becoming Tiziano Vecellio's mainland residence.
The structure of the current Villa Fabris, whose name is due to the successive owners of the Vecellio-Sarcinelli family as well as the current owners, is the evolution of the building that originally belonged to Titian: the villa has changed considerably in its appearance, but it still retains what is presumably the key to understanding the caséta, i.e. its placing the Pre-Alps of Belluno and the plain that looks towards the Venetian lagoon into dialogue, placing itself at the center of a farm that is still present.
To the north-west of the villa there is a small oratory, which was probably equipped during the 18th century. It is a small private chapel dedicated to San Liberale: octagonal in shape, it is part of the garden, where it stands as an independent building.
Two canvases were placed in this chapel, the altarpiece Madonna with Child, and another, an important historical-landscape document, Martyrdom of Saint Eurosia: in fact this last work, on the right side, reproduces the seventeenth-century landscape of Colle Umberto , with villas and churches.
In the foreground, Villa Morosini Lucheschi Valforte stands out, immediately behind Villa Verecondi and finally the central hill with the church of San Tommaso, the Benedictine monastery and the oratory of San Pietro; finally an overview also on the Vittoria area.
