Street Levels Gallery

Street Levels Gallery is an international urban art gallery, the first of its kind in the city of Florence.

Born from the encounter between artists and cultural producers, the gallery considers itself an articulated environment capable of investigating the different levels of interaction of art – between street, public space and exhibition space – interacting with the urban fabric in a reciprocal and dynamic exchange, undergoing a constant change.

With this goal in mind, the Street Levels Gallery staff has created a space entirely dedicated to artistic experimentation, the exhibition of works, the creation of connections, human actions and collaborative projects.

The cultural provocation is constituted as a collateral practice, with the clear intention of narrating the paths and artistic expressions born in the streets, supporting their existence, and, at the same time, trying to break down the narrative and stereotypical boundaries existing between the public and the private space, as between the street and the exhibition space.

Street Levels Gallery fulfills this fundamental “buffering” role, which takes charge of mediating and reconciling the different artistic visions with the needs of private individuals, public administrations and the community.

Until today, the gallery boasts a long series of fruitful collaborations with municipalities, festivals, art exhibitions, museums, companies, associations, collectives, universities, public and private institutions, born with the aim of spreading and promoting the movement of Urban Art in Italy and in the world.
