The Basilica of Santo Stefano Rotondo al Celio is a 5th century Catholic place of worship that stands in Rome on the Celio. Since its construction, the church has been the seat of the cardinal title of the same name. According to Pietro Mallio's catalogue, drawn up under the pontificate of Pope Alexander III, this title was linked to the basilica of San Lorenzo outside the walls and its priests officiated there in turn. Managed later and until 1580 by the Hungarian Paulines, the church has since belonged to the German-Hungarian Pontifical College in Rome. It was erected a minor basilica and is the national church of Hungary. It is one of the stationary churches of Rome.
