Villa Guglielmi

In 1765 it was a country residence belonging to the Primoli and Giraud families, but many families owned it.

Guests were Pope Gregory XVI, the French composer Claude Debussy who was a guest of Count Primoli around 1885 and left us a description: I was in Fiumicino, Primoli being in Paris, he offered me his villa which is delightfully arranged.
Fiumicino is a fascinating place where the Romans come to swim in the sea, where I have already had a very pleasant stay. There I enjoyed complete solitude, that's what I ask for now. It is then said that on the evening of November 25, 1882, the first people from Ravenna were hosted in the courtyard and in the rooms of the large villa, to then begin the reclamation work.

The name of the villa is due to the last owners, the Guglielmi marquises.

Today it is the Municipal Library open to the public with a beautiful park.
