Parish Church of San Martino Vescovo

Church dedicated to St. Martin, bishop of Tours (315 - 397), legally began in 1390 although it already existed previously.

Renovated in the 17th century and completed in 1640, this church does not follow a precise architectural order.

Composed of 3 naves, the high altar dating back to 1652 has a canvas depicting San Martino who gives part of his cloak to the poor, painted by Michele Desubleo.

The altar of the Crucifix represents Christ on the cross surrounded by S. Lorenzo (258 A.D.), S. Lucia (304 A.D.) and S. Rocco (1350 - 1380), painted by Francesco Miglior in the 18th century.

The altar canvas of S. Vincenzo Ferreri (1350-1419) by an unknown artist seems to date back to the first half of the 18th century. It represents the Dominican Saint surrounded by S. Bovo, by the martyr S.Eurosia and by some miserable people who remember the “Pio Istituto Poveri di Sambughè”.

Finally, there is the canvas of the altar of St. Anthony of Padua, also by an unknown artist, which represents the Saint embracing the infant Jesus.
