Hermitage Rupestre San Magno

In San Mango Piemonte there is a centuries-old hermitage dedicated to the patron saint San Magno, hollowed out in the rock of a mighty cliff on which the tower of the Ancient Merola Castle stands.

Every 19 August, the feast of the Saint, the faithful ascend in procession to this atavistic symbol of faith and religious tradition by climbing, wooden statue on their shoulders, along a steep path bordered by a luxuriant flora that arouses, step by step, unique emotions and sensations.

The ancient hermitage, a corner of meditation carved into the mighty rock by the centuries-old devotion of man striving in search of God and the immortality of the soul, is a constant step on the path of local devotional life.

This short sequence of images testifies to this.
