The three-dimensional bronze sculpture by Leonardo Sciascia is a work of the racalmutese sculptor Giuseppe Agnello.
It was inaugurated on 25 October 1997 and placed on the sidewalk in the historic center, along Corso Garibaldi, in front of the former Banco di Sicilia, near the Mother Church, a site where the writer could often be met.
The sculpture offers a realistic image of Sciascia as he walks, holding his inseparable cigarette between his fingers and is represented at a man's height, giving the suggestion that he is still among the people of him.
