MudeP was founded in Fara Novarese in 2016 by the local Amici del Presepio Association. It is based in the structures of the former primary school in Fara Novarese.
The museum, inaugurated on 8 December 2016, collects cribs made by the Friends of the Crib of Fara Novarese since 1992 for the Parish Church and for the I Cedri Clinic.
The museum itinerary is developed in five rooms.
In the first room, on the upper floor, a general and historical introduction is offered to the theme of the crib and Christmas.
The second and third rooms are dedicated to the popular style nativity scene with a Piedmontese setting.
Downstairs, the fourth room is dedicated to the Neapolitan-style crib, the fifth room is dedicated to the Palestinian setting.
