Our story begins 35 years ago thanks to the foresight of Luigi Gorga who, falling in love with this land, passed on to his family the desire to create, in absolute respect for nature, exclusive housing structures.
The two ancient stone houses that make up the structure have been renovated with the intention of recovering their original charm, while maintaining the characteristics that make the typical country buildings of southern Italy unique in their kind.
The buildings have been restored in full compliance with the principles of bio-architecture, using local and environmentally friendly techniques and materials, such as the chalazion stone of Capaccio and the handcrafted terracotta: in this way it was possible to respect the original structures that remain to testify the ancient origins. local.
This conservative restoration work is accompanied by the intent that has always animated the activity: to spread an innovative culture of tourism, aimed at enhancing natural resources rather than exploiting them unconditionally. For this reason, we have chosen to place at the base of our organization a set of social, economic and cultural values ??that have formed the basis for sharing a dream that has become reality: combining the passion for nature and the spirit of enterprise.
Il Cannito therefore managed to create a perfect synergy between the housing structure and the surrounding environment, so as not to break that primordial harmony that surrounds the places where it is located. Oaks, elms, myrtles and junipers embrace the two suggestive structures, restoring a feeling of continuity and balance between the work of man and the surrounding wild Mediterranean scrub.
This charming farmhouse overlooks the blue sea of ??Cilento and the fascinating plain of Paestum, rich in incredible historical and archaeological remains that preserve, intact, the magic of those places that were so dear to the Greek and Roman civilizations.
