Longplayer - Virtual Tour 360°

Longplayer is a millenary music track. It started playing at midnight on December 31, 1999 and will play without repetition until the last moment of 2999, when it will complete its cycle and start again.

It was invented and composed by Jem Finer, originally ordered by Artangel and is now in the care of the Longplayer Trust.

The Longplayer was composed for the Tibetan bell, an ancient standing bell that can be rung by both man and machine, and whose echo can be reproduced very precisely in recorded form.

It is designed to adapt to unpredictable changes in its technological and social environment and to last as a self-sustaining organization.
