Museum of the Battle and Anghiari

The municipal museum that celebrates the historical event depicted by Leonardo da Vinci.

Inside the Palazzo del Marzocco, the museum preserves the memory of the historical and artistic event of the battle of Anghiari, fought on 29 June 1440 and later depicted by Leonardo da Vinci, a lost masterpiece.

The collection contains one of the rarest works of art relating to the story, the engraving by Gérard Edelinck, a significant testimony to Leonardo's idea.
