A medieval tower was incorporated into the farmhouse. In 1695 the Caffarellis sold the estate to the Pallavicini, who, in 1816, ceded the property to the Torlonia, who restructured the Vaccareccia and reclaimed the valley floor for the last time.

Some buildings of the farmhouse show the coat of arms of the family, depicting a crown overlooking two comets.

Unfortunately, about 15 years ago, a fire damaged part of the roof of the farmhouse, so a restoration is urgently needed, which instead was carried out on the stables located in the farmyard.

The Caffarella Utilization Plan assigns Vaccareccia to "equipment for the enjoyment of the agricultural and historical landscape", identifying in this farmhouse the point of sale of agricultural products.

Only a part of the assigned sum was used for the restoration of the Renaissance building that involved the roof, part of the interior and the barn for a sum of approximately 1,000,000 euros.

The remaining part of the appropriation was reabsorbed by the Lazio Region during the council chaired by the President R. The farmhouse, although publicly owned, cannot be visited inside.
