Riga Aviation Museum is an aviation museum in Riga, Latvia.
The museum is located in the Riga International Airport area and is regularly open to the public.
It was founded in 1956 by Victor Talpa, who worked for the Latvian Civil Aviation Administration, but was privatized in 1997.
The Riga Aviation Museum is the only museum of its kind in the Baltic region and one of the largest museums in Europe; his collection has been collected for more than 40 years.
Today the museum has widely opened its doors to all those interested in seeing the Mi-6 helicopter and the An-14B passenger plane from inside.
The Mi-24A helicopter, the heaviest, fastest and most effective helicopter in the world, is also exhibited at the museum. His brothers have participated in the greatest conflicts in the world since the 1970s.
One of the exhibits - a plane similar to the one used for the infamous flight from Helsinki to Moscow, landing on Red Square - was left by a German tourist in Riga.
