National Museum Of Pakistan - Virtual Tour 360°

The National Museum of Pakistan was established on April 17, 1950, replacing the Victoria Museum. The museum moved to its current location (in Burns Gardens, Dr. Zia-ud-din Ahmed Road) in 1970.

The fundamental objective of the creation of the National Museum is to collect, preserve, study and display the cultural history of Pakistan. Over the years, the museum has grown more and more, with a total of 11 galleries.

The museum also houses objects related to the cultural heritage of Pakistan, displaying artifacts from the Indus civilization, sculptures from the Gandhara civilization, Islamic art, ancient coins and manuscripts documenting the political history of Pakistan.

There is also an ethnographic gallery with life-sized statues of different ethnicities living in the four provinces of modern Pakistan.
The museum houses seals and statues found in the Mohenjo-daro archaeological site.
