Museum of Russian Vodka

An integral part of the restaurant is the Museum of the Russian National Drink, which can be briefly called "All about the history, forms and content of the Russian national drink".

Its exhibits would be more than enough for a separate museum building.

The museum exhibit details the history of the appearance of traditional drinks in Russia. Visitors are invited to walk the entire "Great Way of the National Drink" - from traditional Russian "natural fermentation" products (honey, kvass and birch wood up to the 14th century and the first experiments with cereals in the Middle Ages) to writing by Dmitry Mendeleev of the legendary dissertation "On the combination of alcohol with water".

The visit to the museum ends with the tasting of a drink at a high "standing" table, from faceted misted goblets with traditional appetizers.

* In case of a large number of visitors, there is the possibility to wait in line. For your convenience, we offer a preliminary reservation of the time for the visit to the museum.

This small museum presents the long history of the Russian national drink, from 12th century peasants to 20th century presidents.

Showcases filled with unusually shaped vodka bottles, old advertising campaigns and some fun dioramas explain the evolution of Russian firewater.

An excursion is recommended as the exhibits are in Russian only. In the tasting room, there is also a chance to try three different traditional Russian vodkas and snacks.
