The London Dungeon

The London Dungeon is a tourist attraction (park attraction) located in London. On 31 January 2013, the London Dungeon closes its doors after 39 years at Tooley Street, London Bridge.

The attraction moves to County Hall on the South Bank, in front of the EDF Energy London Eye in March 2013.

Inside it is recreated, using actors, special effects and appropriate scenography, some events of the history of London, with particular preference for those macabre and bloody.

Opened in 1976, and initially conceived as a "Museum of Horrible History", the Dungeon has since developed into a kind of amusement park attraction, with a series of interactive experiences that follow one another in sequence.

Due to its success, other similar attractions were later opened in Hamburg (Hamburg Dungeon), York (York Dungeon), Edinburgh (Edinburgh Dungeon) and in 2005 also in Amsterdam (Amsterdam Dungeon).
