Electric Ladyland - Museum of Fluorescent Art

Electric Ladyland is a museum located in the Jordaan area of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

It is dedicated to the presentation of art, minerals and artifacts that fluorescence under ultraviolet light. It was inaugurated on April 19, 1999 and was the first museum dedicated to fluorescence.

In the lively Jordaan district, an underground museum will amaze you like an apparition. Rocks and minerals that light up in the dark, works of art from the 1950s, colored bulbs with a psychedelic effect are ready to show you the different effects of the phenomenon of fluorescence between nature and culture.

Born from the initiative of artist Nick Padalino, Electric Ladyland takes its name from Jimi Hendrix's cult album of 1968. In addition to immersing yourself in a parallel world, you can participate in the creation of a luminous sculpture, physically entering the work of art .
