The Christmas Market in Bolzano was born in 1990 and was one of the first markets, which subsequently inspired the markets that arose in other Italian and European cities.
The market is located in Piazza Walther, located in the center of the city, just behind the Cathedral.
It should be noted that the oldest "Christmas Market" in Italy remains the one of the artisan artists which is located in Piazza del Municipio, built in 1970. Numerous imitations were born from the South Tyrolean markets in the rest of Italy.
