Obelisk or Monolith of the Foro Italico


The Obelisk of the Foro Italico wanted by Renato Ricci, consists of a monolithic block of Carrara marble, was erected in 1932 in front of the sports complex of the Foro Italico, built at the base of Monte Mario and which originally took its name from Benito Mussolini, to which the obelisk was dedicated.

It was the last major transport carried out via the Tiber.
