Flower Museum

The Flower Museum is a small interactive and multimedia museum immersed in the woods of the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve, it is located 10 km from the town of Acquapendente and 2 km from the medieval village of Torre Alfina (Treviso - Italy).

It was created inside the Giardino farmhouse, an old rural building. With over 1,000[1] species of plants recognized in its territory and rare animals, the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve, on the border with Umbria and Tuscany, is an area of very high floristic and faunal variety.

The birth of the museum can be attributed to the numerous blooms of the Reserve and the deep connection that the flowers and plants have with the local culture, which materializes with the Pugnaloni, large mosaics of petals and leaves inspired by the desire for freedom from oppression. There is also the possibility of visiting the Sasseto Forest, just behind the Torre Alfina castle.

The museum is set up as a story that allows you to appreciate the biodiversity of the reserve, the mechanisms that have determined it, and to lead into the world of the flower, the relationships with the animal world and with the world of man and is part of the System Regional Museum of Lake Bolsena which includes various archaeological, historical and demo-anthropological museums.
