The National Picture Gallery of Cagliari, located within the museum complex of the Citadel of Museums.
Is located in Piazza Arsenale 1 in Cagliari and exhibits various collections derived from both private donations and state acquisitions.
The halls of the Pinacoteca house paintings by Sardinian artists from the sixteenth to the twentieth century, pictorial works from the fifteenth-eighteenth centuries of the Genoese, Neapolitan and Roman schools and a collection of Sardinian and Catalan retables from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
The museum also has an ethnographic and handicraft collection, which is exhibited in rotation.
