The Museum Center of Natural and Physical Sciences

The Museum Center of Natural and Physical Sciences is a Museum Center of the University of Naples Federico II, established in 1992 and made up of five pre-existing museums already annexed to the university.

The Museum Center is housed in the building of the old University, in the ancient Collegio Massimo dei Gesuiti, where the museums of mineralogy, zoology, anthropology and physics are located; the paleontology museum, on the other hand, is located in the complex of San Marcellino and Festo.

The Museum Center preserves more than 150,000 exhibits, collected since the end of the eighteenth century.

Thanks to the adaptation of the historic rooms that house the museums, the finds have been given an appropriate display arrangement.
