The Lotus Temple is a Bahai temple located in New Delhi. The building was designed by Fariborz Sahba, an Iranian-Canadian architect.
The temple, completed in 1986, has the appearance of the bud of a lotus flower formed by twenty-seven marble "petals" resting on nine openings. The temple has received numerous architectural awards.
