Wilanow Palace

Wilanów Palace is located in the city of Warsaw and is one of the most precious monuments of national culture. It has survived Poland's partition age and wars and has preserved its authentic historical qualities. It was built for the Polish king Jan III Sobieski in the 17th century and was later enlarged by subsequent owners.

It represents the classic type of peripheral Baroque residence between the courtyard and the garden. Its architecture is very original it mixes European art with the tradition of the old buildings of Poland and with the interiors, which use ancient symbols, glorify the Sobieski family, especially the military triumph of the King.

The palace and park are not only a testament to Poland's past splendor, but also a venue for cultural events and concerts, including the Royal Summer Concerts in the Rose Garden and the International Summer Academy of Early Music.
