MAM Casa Domenico Aiello - Museum of the nineteenth century Lucano

The Casa Domenico Aiello Museum is the first cultural settlement of the MAM. It was inaugurated in 2010 and houses the Lucanian Museum of the Nineteenth Century.

It welcomes real masterpieces of the great Lucanian painters. “Dear doves”, the “Death of the goldfinch” by Michele Tedesco; two splendid portraits of children by Giacomo Di Chirico; several works by Angelo Brando, including, alongside the portraits of women, his favorite theme, a Lucanian landscape considered by critics to be a work of particular beauty. There is no shortage of works by Vincenzo Marinelli and Andrea Petroni.
