The Palace of Justice of Brussels is a large eclectic-style building built between 1866 and 1883.
It was designed by Joseph Poelaert and is located in the square of the same name.
It is the largest building of its kind in the world and the largest building built in the 19th century.
Due to its imposing size that dominates the city skyline, it has been considered by some critics an ante litteram eco-monster.
