The Teatrino Groggia is located in the historic center of Venice, on the northern edge of the Sestriere di Cannaregio, inside the park of the same name. Until 2017 he carried out cultural and entertainment activities, in a constant effort to interact with the reference urban context, under the care of the District Council n.1.
Since 2018, the Culture Sector of the Municipality of Venice has signed a series of agreements with associations for the realization of exhibitions and workshops, continuing a work of cultural rooting in the historic city, with an eye to the involvement of children and young people. The collaboration, in the form of a concession to use the space, also continues in 2020.
Located in Sant'Alvise, in the Cannaregio district, set like a precious stone in a large romantic-style park, with hills, paths, trees and rocks, the Teatrino Groggia was in 1500 a space for target shooting and after a long time of abandonment here is the reopening in 2012.
The Gardens belonged to the Groggia family and were later donated to an association and passed on to the Municipality. Inside the gardens there are few species of plants, especially laurels and palms; in addition, the Teatrino di Villa Groggia is also present.
