The Citadel of the Archives of Milan is a mechanized archival center that houses documents from the municipality of Milan.
Located in via Gregorovius 15, Niguarda area, it hosts over 1.5 million files of historical, sociological, cultural and administrative interest produced by public and private bodies, as well as tens of thousands of files produced by the municipal offices every year.
With a capacity of about 70 linear km, the Citadel of the Archives is one of the largest mechanized archives in Europe.
Since March 2015 it has been open to the public for document consultation.
