TRA - Treviso Art Research - Ca' dei Ricchi

TRA is a gallery that operates in the belief that art constitutes the new strategic innovation frontier for the territory.

Contemporary art exhibitions, talks, concerts, screenings, workshops, meetings, collaborations and multidisciplinarity.

Researching, promoting and disseminating contemporary art in the multiplicity of its forms and contents: this is TRA Treviso Ricerca Arte, the private cultural association of Treviso.

The project was born from a group of professionals from Treviso with the desire to promote contemporary art in the city and found its significant development in 2013, with the transfer to the noble floor of the prestigious Ca 'dei Ricchi building, in the historic center, where the Association is still based today. From that moment TRA was able to give a more concrete increase to its business, also thanks to the creation of a solid network of collaborations.
To date, the Association has held wide-ranging and original personal and collective exhibitions, involving contemporary artists of national and international fame as well as emerging young people, thus characterizing itself in the city as a place of great promotion of culture. The exhibitions are in fact also accompanied by a series of other events involving the arts and thought, therefore from the projection of documentaries to live music, from literary salons to art meetings, as well as courses and workshops of an artistic nature aimed at involving great and children.

Thanks to the innovative and interesting exhibitions, as well as the pressing and varied calendar of organized events, TRA always proves to be able to involve a large and transversal public, creating interesting opportunities for dialogue, meeting and debate between people, always in the name of culture.

The TRA logo reads backwards: not for an aesthetic question, but rather to underline a fundamental concept: TRA means ART. A game too, which involves the words making up the acronym, instilling in the observer a benign doubt: is Treviso seeking art, or is it rather art that is attracted to the city? And then, is research a mere conjugated verb or a real declaration of intent, a method that wants to link art to an effective and conscious approach to creating value through culture?

The interchangeability, the ferment and the tension towards discovery are the mirror of the multifaceted nature of TRA, which literally wants to be in the middle, between things and people, placing itself as a laboratory space, as a means of interaction, as a generator of beauty. and the beneficial social effects that follow. Those looking for this in Treviso will certainly find TRA.
