On the rural court of Piovezzano, commonly known as Ca 'dei Frati or Corte Ronzetti, the news is very scarce. With care and dedication, the Padovani family has taken care of reconstructing the history of this place. To pass it on. To tell it. To enhance a place that deserves to be understood and re-lived.
The architectural structure refers, as a typology, to the closed courts, very widespread throughout Italy starting from the medieval period. Ca 'dei Frati respects all the characteristics necessary for the life of closed courtyards: the presence of ovens and wells demonstrates the need to provide for the sustenance of a large number of people and the remains of the surviving archivolt openings - now buffered and recalling a medieval system - of the external wall of the complex that rises to the left as you enter, attest to the defensive role. The medieval dating of the small house, located to the north of the main villa, is therefore almost certain.
