The Castle of Roncade, rebuilt in 1508, is one of the rare pre-Palladian villas surrounded by medieval walls. It rises in the center of the city of Roncade, in the Venetian countryside between Treviso and Venice.
A majestic Renaissance complex inhabited for four centuries by the Giustiniani family, whose illustrious members have closely linked it to the history of the Most Serene Republic of Venice.
The Ciani Bassetti family, with ancient agricultural traditions, took over the property at the beginning of the twentieth century, with the renovation of the castle and the replanting of the vineyards.
In recent years, production has continued to grow, the property has 110 hectares of vineyards, a modern winery for winemaking located in Mogliano Veneto and the original barrel cellar for aging the finest wines.
Oggi il Castello di Roncade offre ai propri ospiti la possibilità di pernottare nelle lussuose suite della villa e negli appartamenti situati nelle torri. Un’ospitalità di alto livello a pochi chilometri dai più interessanti centri turistici del Veneto e dagli aeroporti di Treviso e Venezia.
Vengono organizzate visite guidate della villa, la cappella privata e la bottaia, nonché degustazioni guidate per offrire ai visitatori la possibilità di assaggiare i vini del Castello e conoscere la storia che da anni lega questa villa al territorio. La collaborazione con agenzie permette anche di organizzare pacchetti personalizzati per individuali e gruppi, nonché la visita nel fine settimana su prenotazione. Il Castello offre inoltre la possibilità di organizzare eventi privati e aziendali nelle sale eventi della barchessa.
Centodieci ettari vitati, con un terroir caratterizzato da un microclima con scarse precipitazioni e da uno strato di “caranto” a pochi centimetri di profondità, permettono di produrre vini di qualità: vini bianchi profumati e vini rossi corposi che hanno saputo distinguersi, vincendo importanti riconoscimenti nelle guide e nei concorsi enologici.

The manor was donated in 900 by Otto II to the Counts of Collalto. Later it was destroyed by the hand of Cangrande della Scala.â € ¨ It was Girolamo Giustinian, a Venetian patrician, who carried out the reconstruction in the 16th century, on the trail of the previous building.
