Pescara

The city of Pescara has a very ancient history and its origins are almost totally unknown.

Probably the first settlements took place at the Colle del Telegrafo where finds dating back to 6000 years ago have recently been brought to light.

The first village, on the other hand, was founded on the banks of the river and in Roman times it was called Vicus Aterni and to which the name Aternum was subsequently attributed, from the river that lapped the town.
