Bagni San Filippo is a small town in southern Tuscany between the Val d'Orcia and Mount Amiata known since ancient times for the warm thermal waters that here have created a magical landscape of white limestone formations, waterfalls and small hot tubs where bathe in the middle of the lush green forest.
The particular geographic location and the low population have ensured that the place kept a natural and wild aspect.
It is a small thermal resort (sulphurous waters), but suggestive for the presence of limestone deposits that form white concretions of calcium carbonate and waterfalls. The name derives from the village church dedicated to San Filippo Benizi.
