Villa Bernasconi

Villa Bernasconi is one of the most precious examples of liberty style in Italy. Virtual tour of the museum>

It was built before 1905 in Cernobbio, not directly on the lake but not far from the textile factory of the client Davide Bernasconi.

The decoration of the villa is inspired by the textile industry: one of the most notable of the exuberant floral style in Lombardy. The decorative motifs are reminiscent of the silk production process with decoration inspired by silkworms, butterflies and mulberry leaves. After the recent and demanding restorations, all the details can be admired.

The villa has been owned by the municipality of Cernobbio since 1989; now it is a cultural center and hosts exhibitions and events.
