The Valderia Botanical Garden is a place that, due to its cool, shady climate and the richness of spontaneous vegetation, had already been equipped with paths and paths in the nineteenth century: it was the "Garden of the English", a destination for relaxing walks for guests of the nearby spa.

In 1990, recovering the ancient site, the Park set up a botanical garden that hosts about 500 species distributed in fourteen environments, representative of the main ecosystems of the Maritime Alps: from limestone rocks to mixed fir, passing through the stream, the larch wood , the bog and the alreadys.

This setting, designed to respond in an optimal way to the informative and didactic purposes of the garden, not only makes it easy to observe species that could only be encountered in nature after hours of walking, but also offers a complete, clear and understandable picture of the entire "world". vegetable "of the Maritime Alps. Discovering the characteristics of each single flower is combined with the pleasure of grasping the links between the various botanical species as well as between the plants themselves and their surroundings.
