Fausto Levi Jewish Museum

The Fausto Levi Jewish Museum, with an adjoining synagogue, is located in Soragna, in the province of Parma. The museum is part of the Association of Castles of the Duchy of Parma, Piacenza and Pontremoli.

Around 1980 the Jewish community of Parma decided to collect in a museum the precious furnishings and sacred objects that had belonged to the eight communities of the Parma area, most of which have disappeared; the choice of the exhibition site fell on the building used since the early seventeenth century as a synagogue and seat of the Soragnese Jewish community, due to the barycentric geographical position of the town with respect to the ancient communities of Borgo San Donnino, Busseto, Colorno, Cortemaggiore, Fiorenzuola d'Arda , Monticelli d'Ongina and Soragna itself.
