The Museum of Natural Sciences
It is a delicate natural treasure chest in the city center.
At the entrance, an introductory video describes the origin and evolution of planet Earth.
The first wing of the exhibition area allows for an evocative journey inside the Earth among rock samples, minerals and fossils to observe and touch, and spectacular volcanic eruptions.
In the center of the nature room, a scale model reconstructs the river environment of the Alexandria area while inside a transparent cylinder are specimens of butterflies from around the world.
Innovative is the eco-acoustic project that, along the route, reproduces the sounds of nature from a circadian cycle, recorded and produced exclusively for the Alexandria Museum of Natural Sciences.
The Astronomy Lab
Under the Planetarium dome, multimedia animations and images reproduce a celestial vault of 6500 stars, enveloping visitors in the magic of the Universe. This digital multimedia video projection system, equipped with innovative optics.
Simulations on planetary motions, eclipses and tides are performed in the astronomy education room. In addition, the room displays an accurate photographic reproduction of the Milky Way.
