Two souls in one place: bàcaro and trattoria side by side to satisfy every need. Not to be confused with a high-level restaurant of the same name; here we are in a side street of Campo Santo Stefano, where there are old workshops of restorers, artistic glass shops and antique prints.
At the head of the counter we find Paolo, who satisfies a colorful clientele: there are in fact many Venetians who stop here for a break, knowing that this is one of the few places that has a wide choice of always fresh fish cicchetti. Excellent fried fish (squid, scampi, sardines), but also sèpe roste (grilled cuttlefish), folpèti (octopus) with celery, sardines in saòr, creamed cod. And for carnivores: meatballs, sausages, spienza (spleen) and nervèti with onion.
