The history of Trattoria Da Me began before the war, in 1937. Nina and Danio, are sister and brother and arrive in Bologna from the countryside of San Giovanni in Persiceto. Nina is married to Orazio, and together they open a tavern, where it is possible to taste trebbiano and bardolino, some noodles and fried eggs.
Danio goes to the factory, but when the shift is over he is immediately among the tavern tables. Then war breaks out. At that time, Ada is also increasingly present in the tavern. Danio met her at Ducati, where he works, but she is also good at puffing. So they get married, leave the factory and together with Nina at the entrance of the old tavern they affix the sign "Trattoria da Danio".
